This piece is part of his famous “One Hundred Famous Views of Edo” woodblock print series.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHiroshige made this print in the final year of his life. It became well known outside Japan and was later copied by Vincent van Gogh in 1887 in a piece called “Flowering Plum Tree.” The original print is known for its deep perspective and strong visual effect.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe UMESAKI pen reflects this print through its design: pink for the background, white Chirashi elements for plum blossoms, and gray and black to show the tree’s trunk and branches.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHiroshige Utagawa (1797–1858)\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eA major Ukiyo-e artist from the late Edo period. Born in Edo (now Tokyo), he trained in the Utagawa school. He started with portraits of Kabuki actors and samurai.
