Design & Materials

The cap and barrel are crafted from precious resin in a rich ruby colour, inspired by the jewellery Maria Callas loved to wear. The slim silhouette reflects her graceful presence on stage. On the platinum-coated clip, there is a ruby-coloured synthetic stone and a petal-shaped design, referencing the Maria Callas rose introduced in 1965. Around the platinum-coated cone, a pattern of laurel leaves is reminiscent of the costume she wore in Bellini's Norma, while her signature is embossed as a finishing detail.

Writing Experience & Collectibility

The fountain pen is fitted with a handcrafted 14k rhodium-coated gold nib. To capture even more of the singer's personality, Montblanc engraves the nib with Maria Callas's iconic cat-eye makeup and the words "La Divina," the name by which she became known around the world.
