Delta Good Life DV Special Edition: The Return of an Icon

We are pleased to introduce the Good Life DV Special Edition, marking our first collaboration with Italian manufacturer Delta under the new brand identity. Created exclusively for Writing Culture, the collection celebrates the timeless Italian flair of the classic DolceVita design and further strengthens our long-standing partnership.

Inspiration

Introduced in 1998, the DolceVita has become Delta's most recognisable creation to date, distinguished by its mighty proportions and vivid, hard-to-forget orange-and-black colour palette. According to Delta's co-founder, Nino Marino, the original idea was to create a pen so distinctive that it could be recognised simply by seeing it in someone's hand.

The Good Life name also has a history of its own. Back in 2024, when we were still operating as Style of Zug, we joined forces with Delta on an exclusive limited edition of just 36 fountain pens, created using a small collection of original vintage Delta gold nibs.

With the new Good Life DV, we revisit the classic Dolcevita design, preserving its iconic character while introducing exclusive features and decorative elements.

Design & Materials

The Good Life DV comes in three variations, each with its own color combination and finishing details. The whole collection retains the generous proportions and familiar design of the original DolceVita, with a few exclusive details developed specifically for Writing Culture.

Good Life DV Original

The Original stays true to the Dolcevita's iconic orange-and-black palette. It is crafted from black and orange pearlescent resin, with a 925 sterling silver cap ring engraved with decorative motifs inspired by the artistic heritage of ancient Pompeii. The brass trim found on the regular Dolcevita has been replaced with 925 sterling silver for this model, allowing the fountain pen to develop a distinctive patina over time.

Good Life DV Soirée

The Soirée takes a more understated approach, crafted from black pearlescent resin with subtle orange accents that nod to the Original DV. The same 925 sterling silver is used for the trim on this edition, while the cap ring features the same decorative motifs.

Good Life DV Oro

The Oro is the boldest of the three versions, embodying the very essence of the Dolcevita's DNA. It is crafted from orange pearlescent resin and, unlike the other two versions, features a solid 925 sterling silver cap ring finished in gold vermeil.

An embossed Writing Culture emblem adorns the piston knob finial, adding to the exclusivity of the collection.

The Good Life DV is also available as a mid-size ballpoint pen in the same three designs.

Writing Experience & Collectibility

The three Oversize fountain pens feature a 14-karat gold No. 8 JoWo nib with custom pantograph engraving inspired by traditional Neapolitan maiolica tiles, known for their intricate hand-painted patterns. Each nib is paired with an in-house ebonite feed and is available in extra-fine (EF), fine (F), medium (M) and broad (B) widths, providing a smooth writing experience with varying line widths depending on the nib size.

To offer a more traditional and analogue writing experience, we have replaced the standard converter system found on the Dolcevita with a built-in piston-filling mechanism. This also enhances the writing experience by providing a generous ink capacity.

Each writing instrument is accompanied by a Delta ink bottle and is individually numbered, but unlike a traditional Limited Edition, the Good Life DV has no predetermined production limit. Instead, we wanted to make this Special Edition available for longer, giving more enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy the collection. The Good Life DV is available exclusively through Writing Culture.
