Inspiration

Resina and Corteccia both take inspiration from nature, through two elements of the tree. Resin comes from within, suggesting movement and transformation as it flows, settles and gradually takes on a stable form, while bark is the visible outer layer, shaped by growth and the passage of time. SCRIBO interprets Corteccia as what time leaves on the surface, and Resina as what changes from within. Two different expressions of the same natural world, connected by one idea: matter changes, but the traces of that transformation remain. 


Design & Materials

Both editions are built on the familiar SCRIBO FEEL silhouette, with its distinctive dodecagonal shape and gently curved profile. The cap, barrel, knob, and section of both models are crafted from precious resin.

Resina comes in a burnt orange tone with a subtle translucency that gives a subtle view inside the pen, while its colour shifts in depth as it catches the light. Corteccia combines brown and grey with orange streaks, creating a warmer, earthier appearance that recalls the natural variations of bark.

Both editions are complemented by ruthenium-coated trim. A small number of Corteccia units are also available with rose gold trim, adding even more warmth to the design.


Writing Experience & Collectibility

The writing experience has always been at the heart of every SCRIBO collection. Both models are equipped with a piston filling mechanism that holds up to 1.42 ml of ink and are offered with two nib types: an 18K gold nib available in EEF, EF, F, M, B, BB, BBB and Stub, and a flexible 14K gold nib available in EF, F and M. Each nib is paired with an ebonite feeder measuring 6.5 mm in diameter and featuring two capillary channels. As with other SCRIBO editions, production is limited, this time to 188 pieces for Resina and 99 pieces for Corteccia.
