Montegrappa 007 A View To A Kill: A Tribute to Bond's Parisian Adventure

Montegrappa returns with a new 007 Limited Edition, this time embracing a bold architectural design inspired by one of James Bond's most memorable adventures.

Inspiration

The edition draws inspiration from the 1985 James Bond film A View to a Kill and captures some of the film's most iconic scenes through its skeletonised frame. Building upon the dramatic sequences surrounding the Eiffel Tower, Montegrappa has transformed the landmark's lattice structure into a writing instrument, giving the edition a distinctly architectural character unlike any previous Bond edition.

Design & Materials

The pen is crafted from stainless steel with a pierced barrel inspired by the lattice structure of the Eiffel Tower. Beneath the skeletonised barrel, a rifled, gold-plated brass core recalls the iconic gun barrel sequence that has introduced James Bond films for generations. A closer look at the satin-finished cap reveals two details: a micro-cast, gold-plated silhouette depicting Bond's famous parachute escape and a laser-engraved silhouette of the secret agent hidden inside the cap. The official 007 logo is finely engraved on the grip section above Montegrappa's icon, serving as a subtle nod to the Bond universe.

Writing Experience & Collectibility

The fountain pen is equipped with a custom 18K gold nib, engraved with Bond's silhouette, and paired with an ebonite feed. Surprisingly, the pen features a piston-filling mechanism cleverly integrated within the barrel. The same design language extends to the rollerball version, finished with a bullet-shaped tip inspired by a rifled projectile.

Limited to 250 fountain pens and 250 rollerballs worldwide, each writing instrument is presented in a display case inspired by Zorin Industries' airship. The fountain pen version also includes a dedicated ink bottle.
