Inspiration

Building on the success of the previous models in blue and black, Pelikan turns to one of its most emblematic colors for this special edition. Green, a color long associated with Pelikan, is reinterpreted in a darker tone, creating a striking contrast with the polished metal stripes as the pen catches the light.

Design & Materials

The new Metal Striped Green uses the M815 platform as a base, just like the earlier editions, and combines a solid metal barrel with polished metal stripes and deep green elements. To match the metal stripes, the trim follows the silver-toned look of the M815, with palladium-plated rings, clip and cap finial. A hand-finished, rhodium-coated 18k gold nib completes the overall aesthetic and adds to the writing experience. At around 36 g, the pen has enough weight to feel substantial in hand, an attribute many writers appreciate, while remaining comfortable for longer writing sessions.

Writing Experience

The new M815 Metal Striped Green uses Pelikan’s well-established piston-filling mechanism, a system the brand has relied on and refined for decades. It holds a generous amount of ink, so you’ll have to reach for the ink bottle less frequently. As for the nib, it is available in four widths: EF, F, M and B. The pen is produced in limited quantities, though Pelikan has not specified exactly how many pieces will be made.
