Extra Otto Dark Blue Fountain Pen

Extra Otto is built on an octagonal profile that challenges the idea of a classic pen. The geometric clip and shaped edges create a distinct look and a stable grip. The eight-sided form, inspired by long-standing cultural references to the number eight, improves control and prevents rolling on flat surfaces. Careful construction ensures perfect alignment between cap and barrel.

Its design reflects Montegrappa’s heritage, linked to the 1915 Cà Erizzo estate tower and the Reminiscence model. The 18K gold nib features a filigree motif inspired by this landmark, while proportions also echo the Extra 1930 design, merging two historical Italian styles.

Crafted with hand-carved precision, Extra Otto is available in materials such as celluloid, hardwood, mammoth ivory, and marble through a customization platform. It is presented in a walnut case and can be personalized with engraving on the cap band or an owner’s plaque. Fountain pens include a bottle of Italian ink, also customizable. Production takes around ten days.
