Writing Culture Signature Ink 2026 – Antique Ebony is a limited-edition fountain pen ink created exclusively for Writing Culture in collaboration with Jacques Herbin, the historic French ink house founded in Paris in 1670.

Antique Ebony was chosen to mark a new chapter for Writing Culture and to reflect the warm, natural tones of our renewed brand identity. Inspired by the depth and richness of aged ebony, its deep brown offers a distinctive alternative to conventional black — understated, warm and full of character.

On paper, Antique Ebony reveals rich colour and subtle shading, bringing natural variation to every line. Its smooth flow is designed for fountain pens, while its non-shimmering, unscented formulation keeps the focus on the colour itself.

The 50 ml glass bottle is finished with a handmade wax detail bearing the Writing Culture emblem — a small, tactile detail that makes this first edition distinctly ours.

Antique Ebony is the first edition in the Writing Culture Signature Ink collection. Only 500 bottles have been produced worldwide, making this a genuinely limited edition.
